🌿How Does Navel Acupuncture Treat Reflux, Gastritis & Digestive Ulcers  Problems ?

Reflux, gastritis, and digestive ulcer–related symptoms are among the most common digestive concerns seen in clinical practice.
They are closely associated with diet, lifestyle habits, emotional stress, and the body’s overall digestive regulatory state.

From a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, the navel has a close relationship with the digestive system.

Anatomically, it is located near the stomach and other upper and middle digestive organs,
and functionally it participates in overall abdominal and digestive regulation.

In clinical application, navel acupuncture works through systemic regulation,
helping the body gradually restore a more balanced and coordinated digestive environment.

This regulatory process is commonly reflected in improvements such as:

Reduced reflux, heartburn, or upper abdominal discomfort

Improved stomach comfort after meals

Decreased frequency of symptom flare-ups

Gradually stabilized digestive function

Navel acupuncture emphasizes long-term regulation and functional recovery,
rather than short-term symptom relief or temporary symptom suppression.

🌿How Many Treatments Are Usually Needed?

The number of sessions varies depending on symptom severity, duration, and individual response.

For mild to moderate reflux or gastritis-related discomfort,

noticeable improvement is often seen within 1–3 sessions.

For long-standing, recurrent symptoms, or a history of digestive ulcers, more stable improvement is commonly observed after 5–8 sessions.

Most patients experience some degree of change or improvement after each treatment session.

🌿 Treatment Notes

Before Treatment

If you have had any recent medical tests, imaging, or are currently receiving other treatments, please inform your acupuncturist.
Please review the precautions for Navel Acupuncture before treatment

During Treatment

Sensations vary from person to person.
Mild pain or soreness during needle insertion may occur and is normal.

In general, the more relaxed you are, the milder the sensation.
Navel Acupuncture is a safe acupuncture treatment.
Please stay relaxed and avoid unnecessary tension.

After Treatment

After treatment, allow the body adequate time to rest.
Avoid strenuous physical activity on the same day to support the body’s natural adjustment process.

Drinking warm or room-temperature water after treatment may help support digestive comfort.

Some patients may notice mild, temporary responses, such as changes in stomach sensation, increased bowel sounds, or slight fatigue.
These responses are generally part of the body’s regulatory process and usually resolve on their own.

If any discomfort feels unusual or persists, please contact your practitioner.

Daily Care During the Treatment Period

Keep the abdominal area warm

Avoid cold or iced drinks and overly irritating foods

Choose warm, easy-to-digest meals

Maintain regular rest and sleep patterns

These measures help support and stabilize treatment results over time.
