✓ Parkinson’s-Related Symptoms

Symptoms commonly associated with Parkinson’s disease, such as tremor, stiffness, slowed movement, or gait instability.
This category focuses on supportive regulation rather than disease treatment.

✓Tic Disorders / Involuntary Movements

Repetitive, involuntary movements or muscle contractions, such as eye blinking, facial twitching, shoulder shrugging, or limb movements.
Patients often describe an urge to move that is difficult to control.

🌿How Does Navel Acupuncture Treat Tremors, Parkinson’s-Related Symptoms & Tic Disorders ?

Tremors, Parkinson’s-related symptoms, and tic disorders are commonly associated with disrupted neurological rhythm and impaired regulation, rather than a single local structural issue.

Navel acupuncture works through systemic regulation centered on the Shenque (navel) region, which is closely connected to the body’s core regulatory systems, including the nervous system.

Because these conditions often present with clear patterns of excessive or insufficient neural activity, they are considered particularly well-suited for regulation-based treatment.

In clinical practice, navel acupuncture commonly focuses on:

Regulating abnormal neurological rhythms associated with tremors and involuntary movements

Reducing excessive tension or rigidity, while supporting weakened or unstable control

Improving coordination and movement stability in a gradual, orderly manner

Due to the distinct regulatory imbalance seen in these conditions,
tremors, Parkinson’s-related symptoms, and tic disorders are regarded as clinically responsive areas for navel acupuncture,
with many patients experiencing noticeable stabilization and functional improvement over time.

🌿How Many Treatments Are Usually Needed?

The following timeframes are general clinical references.
Individual response varies depending on symptom pattern, duration, and overall condition.

Tremors, tics, or involuntary movements in earlier stages

Many patients notice meaningful changes after the first few treatments,
such as reduced tremor intensity, less involuntary movement, or improved control.

Recurrent or persistent symptoms

Improvement in movement stability and rhythm is often observed after 3–5 sessions,
with gradual accumulation over time.

Long-standing conditions or Parkinson’s-related symptoms

A more consistent and ongoing course of treatment is usually recommended.

In these cases, treatment plans are adjusted based on individual response,
rather than determined by a preset number of sessions.

The overall goal is that each treatment provides a perceptible positive change,
allowing stability and control to build progressively in a sustainable manner.

🌿 Treatment Notes

Before Treatment

If you have had any recent medical tests, imaging, or are currently receiving other treatments, please inform your acupuncturist.
Please review the precautions for Navel Acupuncture before treatment

During Treatment

Sensations vary from person to person.
Mild pain or soreness during needle insertion may occur and is normal.

In general, the more relaxed you are, the milder the sensation.
Navel Acupuncture is a safe acupuncture treatment.
Please stay relaxed and avoid unnecessary tension.

After Treatment

After treatment, please allow adequate time for rest and avoid returning immediately to strenuous activity.

On the day of treatment, drinking warm water may help support overall regulation.
Please avoid excessive fatigue, exposure to cold, or sudden environmental changes.

Some patients may experience temporary fatigue, mild muscle soreness, or subtle changes in movement or sensation after treatment.
These responses usually resolve on their own.
If significant or persistent discomfort occurs, please contact your practitioner.

During the treatment period, maintaining a regular and steady daily routine may help support nervous system stability.
Avoid prolonged tension, forced movement, or excessive mental strain, especially in the early stages of care.

Emotional state can influence neurological regulation.
Maintaining a calm and constructive mindset, rather than anxiety or overexertion, may better support the body’s natural adjustment process.

When appropriate, gentle activities such as relaxed breathing, light movement, or quiet rest may further support ongoing stability and coordination.

Clinical Cases

Chronic Hand Tremor (10+ Years) · Neck & Shoulder Pain

Female · 30s

She had experienced:

• Involuntary shaking of both hands for more than 10 years
• Recurrent neck stiffness and right shoulder pain (1 year)
• Poor sleep
• Ongoing stress and low mood
• Long history of alcohol use (quit 5 years ago)

After two treatments:

• Neck and shoulder pain almost resolved
• Long-standing hand tremor dramatically reduced and nearly stopped
• Hands felt steadier and stronger
• Sleep improved
• Stress significantly relieved

Note

This patient had already stopped drinking for several years before treatment.

For patients with similar long-term tremor symptoms, reducing or eliminating alcohol may help consolidate treatment effects and improve long-term stability.
