Eye, Ear, Nose,
Mouth & Dental Pain Treatment

In traditional Chinese medicine, the five sense organs are closely connected to the internal organs.  With Navel Acupuncture treatment, symptoms often improve quickly.

🌿How Does Navel Acupuncture Help Eye, Ear, Nose, Mouth & Dental Pain?

Understanding the Treatment Approach

Navel Acupuncture treats eye, ear, nose, mouth, and dental pain differently from treatments that focus only on local symptoms.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, problems affecting these sensory organs are often not merely local issues. The eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are closely connected with the internal organs, a principle described as “the five organs opening into the five sense orifices.” Navel Acupuncture therefore focuses on regulating the body’s overall functional balance rather than treating only the local symptoms.

Why the Navel Can Influence the Whole Body

Navel Acupuncture uses the navel as an important regulatory center of the body.

In traditional medicine, the navel is known as Shenque (CV8) and is regarded as an important life center as well as a gateway that connects the circulation of Qi and blood throughout the body.

From a whole-body perspective, the navel is closely related to multiple meridian systems and internal regulatory networks. By applying precise acupuncture stimulation around the navel area, it is possible to mobilize the body’s Qi and blood circulation and help restore yin–yang balance and internal coordination.

Because of this “regulating the whole body from the center” approach, Navel Acupuncture often uses fewer needles and lighter stimulation, yet can produce deeper systemic regulatory effects.

Changes Patients Often Experience

In clinical practice, many patients often experience several changes during treatment, such as:

• Reduced eye pain or discomfort
• Relief of tinnitus or ear fullness
• Reduced nasal congestion or sinus pressure
• Reduced pain in the mouth, tongue, or teeth
• A general sense of relaxation and clearer sensations in the head and face

These changes often indicate that the body’s internal regulation is gradually returning to balance.

Individualized Diagnosis

During treatment, I combine consultation, tongue diagnosis, pulse diagnosis, navel examination, and palpation, guided by the principles of Yi Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, to design individualized Navel Acupuncture treatment plans.

Even when patients present with similar symptoms, the underlying body conditions may differ, so treatment strategies may also vary accordingly.

How Navel Acupuncture May Help

Through this whole-body regulatory approach, Navel Acupuncture may help to:

• Improve circulation affecting the sensory organs of the head
• Restore balance within the internal organs and meridian systems
• Relieve pain and related symptoms

🌿How Many Treatments Are Usually Needed?

Many patients notice improvement during the first session.

For acute or recent conditions, 1–3 treatments are often sufficient.

Chronic or long-standing issues may require several sessions to achieve stable and lasting improvement.

The treatment plan is adjusted individually based on response and overall condition.

🌿 Treatment Notes

Before Treatment

Please review the Precautions for Navel Acupuncture before your treatment.

If you have recently undergone medical tests, imaging examinations, or are currently receiving other treatments, please inform your acupuncturist in advance.

During Treatment

Needle sensations vary from person to person. Mild pain or soreness during insertion may occur and is normal.

In general, the more relaxed you are, the milder the sensation.

Navel Acupuncture is a safe acupuncture treatment. Please remain relaxed and avoid unnecessary tension during the session.

After Treatment

Adequate rest after treatment is recommended. Drinking warm water may help support circulation and the body’s regulatory process.

Please avoid excessive exertion and exposure to cold or wind.

Many patients experience noticeable improvement during the same treatment session.

In rare cases involving more complex or long-standing conditions, some patients may experience temporary symptom aggravation, skin itching or rashes, or diarrhea after returning home, usually on the following day or later.

These responses are generally considered part of the body’s healing and adjustment process.

Please do not be overly concerned and return for follow-up assessment as needed.
